Lightness of Being
The beauty of life is in the lightness of being. It's not all solid and serious and frozen. It's shimmering and dissolving, appearing and disappearing. It's ALIVE---the exquisite sounds of rain, the wonder and love that I see in your eyes- the seeing that is seeing itself everywhere. And yet, try to grasp this miracle and it's like trying to grasp a cloud or a handful of water. The fluidity of it is the beauty of it. The suffering is in trying to freeze it. Fixation and grasping- that is suffering. (Joan Tollifson, 'Painting the sidewalk with water: talks & dialogs about Nonduality' p.261)
