Anyway you write it, slice it or dice it, today is a milestone day in the history of the world. For, it won't come along, again, until 2410---long after pushing daisies for centuries.
That said, today is Ashley Tuthill's wedding! I'm so excited, I went to the farm 3 times this week to take pictures and "feel" the spirit of the wedding as it unfolds. There were so many carpenters, landscapers, new faces and old hammering, digging, weeding, pruning, creating the perfect setting for beautiful Ashley to say her vows and wed her prince.
I so wanted to rent a Cinderella carriage and have my pony, Dancer, prance Ashely and Alex to the gorgeous handmade arbor built by her Dad, Jim. But, the pieces of the puzzle to make that happen just didn't come together. So, I'll have to settle for witnessing them either coming to the arbor on a tractor or walking down a lush grassy knoll. Either way will be natural, breathtaking and harmonious. But oh, I would've loved to have driven her in on that pumpkin shaped, all white Cinderella carriage!
Huge white tents with hanging chandeliers stand ready for Ashley's entrance. The stately Willow stands ready to provide a canopy of shade and sacredness over Ashley and Alex as they unite to become man and wife. The crystal blue meandering stream, ever flowing, ever glowing, wafts ripples of joy and sparkles of smiles.
All is ready for their nuptuals. I am as excited as anyone and look forward to experiencing a true country wedding on the farm. More pictures to follow tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. . .
Wedding Tents and Twinkling Lights
Two Wedding Doves - One for Ashley and One for Alex
I ran my life in search of worldly things;
My time and will were firmly in control.
I thought I had no need for what God brings;
I gave no heed to murmurs from my soul.

I thought I had no need for what God brings;
I gave no heed to murmurs from my soul.
“You’re planning, doing all the time,” it said,
“But something else is missing deep inside.
Your mind is whirling, but your heart is dead,
So turn to God and let go of your pride.”
“But something else is missing deep inside.
Your mind is whirling, but your heart is dead,
So turn to God and let go of your pride.”
I did, and God said, “Here’s My plan for you:
Give your life to Me, and just let go.
Have faith and pray, and read the Bible through,
And you’ll have blessings more than you can know.”
Give your life to Me, and just let go.
Have faith and pray, and read the Bible through,
And you’ll have blessings more than you can know.”
So simple, yet it brings me perfect peace,
Living life for God the way I should.
Direction, purpose, fullness and release—
Life with God is very, very good.
Living life for God the way I should.
Direction, purpose, fullness and release—
Life with God is very, very good.
